Know the building. Understand the evidence.
A care-specific reading of property research, public data and operating-provider examples. Every layer shows what it establishes, where it applies and what remains unknown.
Care Circle Network Editorial Desk · Reviewed 19 October 2026
New / Care Circle original analysis · 19 October
The small homes inside larger estates.
Our August registration baseline, analysed on 19 October, gives a new perspective on service size and provider relationships. The feature reads those findings alongside the property research below, with separate dates, cost boundaries and practical implications.
This launch collection is a regional index of four verified public records. It is not a national map of care-home bills, a representative survey or an independent evaluation of these providers. Publicly reported installations and measured financial performance are different evidence.
We have not verified a freely available national dataset linking every care building to its actual energy expenditure. Commercial property research adds context; it cannot fill missing site bills. Individual locations below are identified by verified town and postcode, without invented map coordinates.

Professional sources are attributed for their evidence. Their commercial services and suppliers are not endorsed. Reporting year, sample and cost boundary stay visible.
Evidence: Care-property heat and light cost comparisons by EPC band, per bed and floor area.
Useful for: Prompt a review of your own building and expenditure. The observations describe associations in a property-related sample.
Boundary: They do not isolate the causal return from a retrofit or establish an individual home’s saving. Use current primary guidance for legal requirements.

Evidence: Sample utilities costs: £1,903 per bed for converted homes and £1,777 for purpose-built homes.
Useful for: Understand how a sampled property category compares, then investigate your own scope, occupancy and contract.
Boundary: Utilities are not electricity alone. The corporate-weighted sample and historical reporting period are not a current whole-sector tariff or guaranteed target.
Context on a contributing care-market research sample.
Open access to commercial analytics, a complete national population or free individual energy records.
For a group, match physical building, service identity, property reference, meter and responsible entity. Record the confidence and date of each match. One care location can contain several buildings or supplies; a changed registration does not automatically mean a building closed.
Existing routes and standing guidance need the correct location, use, applicant and project. No national care retrofit grant is assumed.
Regional grant: closed
The West of England Green Care Home Grants round closed on 28 August 2026. Awards were planned for October; this review does not confirm awards. It is not an open UK-wide offer.
Ofgem's Boiler Upgrade Scheme guidance has property, applicant, system and capacity conditions. Care use alone does not establish eligibility. Verify the full project before assuming a grant in the model.
CQC's premises guidance applies to its England service scope. England and Wales rented-property MEES guidance has its own conditions. Different nations, supported living and housing arrangements need applicable checks.
The 6 August Gerontologist Forum paper informs the programme's care-quality perspective. Its primary abstract and classification were verified; full-text retrieval was restricted. It is not presented as a trial or evidence of savings. No claim depends on inaccessible commercial research data.
Original feature sources carry their own publication and observation dates. The daily electricity desk states Elexon's attribution, licence, interval coverage and refresh timestamp separately from this editorial review.
