How to raise an issue
Use the Care Circle contact route and include the page address, passage or claim concerned, why you believe it is inaccurate or incomplete, and the evidence supporting your request.
Identify any time-sensitive safeguarding, legal, clinical or security concern clearly. Do not send confidential resident, employee or service-user information through an unsecured route.
How we respond
- We assess the claim against the best available evidence and may seek further information.
- A material factual error will be corrected promptly and made clear to readers.
- A clarification may be used where a statement was not false but lacked necessary context.
- A monitored editorial may be updated when the underlying position changes; an update is not necessarily a correction.
- Content may be withdrawn where it can no longer be supported or has been superseded by a clearer canonical account.
Editorial independence
A request to change an unwelcome but accurate conclusion is not, by itself, grounds for correction. We will consider substantive counter-evidence and preserve uncertainty where the evidence does not justify certainty.
